Five years of no flying 
5 years ago, I realised that my #academic travels were emitting way too much #greenhouse #gas #GHG (up to 20 t #CO2 / yr) and hence that my #professional activity was not #sustainable. I thus decided to completely ban air #travel (#plane) and travel mainly by #train within #Europe.
5 years later (i.e. now), my professional travels' #carbonfootprint dropped by **a factor 50**, without impacting my #publication records (compared to 2017 - 2019).

Draught and floods, war and disruptions to supply lines, tariffs and costs of transport – all can and do impact food availability, both generation and distribution. A most concerning graph indeed.

Das Thema war uns von Anfang an eine Herzensangelegenheit. In den letzten Jahren hat sich da auch schon sehr sehr viel bewegt, wenn auch natürlich nicht annähernd genug.
Die allgemeinen Reaktionen auf dieses Lied haben sich auf jeden Fall sehr geändert. 
Grundlegende Fakten sind mittlerweile einfach bei den meisten angekommen. Das ist doch schonmal was!
Multiresistente Keime und die Pandemiegefahr von Zoonosen? Wer je ein Groschenroman-Konzert besucht hat, wusste Bescheid! 
Welche Konsequenzen mensch daraus zieht, muss letztlich jede:r selbst entscheiden... mit dem Refrain des Liedes hätten wir aber zumindest eine klare Empfehlung parat!
