I just finished The Dust of Egypt by Seabury Quinn. It's a pulp adventure tale from 1930. It's got mummies, mesmerism, murder and a weird, almost Jungian, obsession with the physical manifestation of the subconscious. In 2022 I made the #book Professor Otagburuagu together with the young, #Nigerian author Ifeanyi Eluu. It is a #pulp fiction gothic crime #story with juju, sex, corruption and a really surprising ending. I was publisher and made the illustrations of which some can be seen here.

Se presentan, por tanto, personajes puramente sádicos, o cuando menos masoquizantes, y personajes que, capaces de desarrollar una psicopatía a través de la creación de una estructura o sistema que genera dolor, son, al mismo tiempo, las víctimas de escenas punitivas.
