A belated #introduction.

Hello Fediverse,
We are the #FediverseFoundation. As a non-profit association we're hosting and moderating instances, go to different events and lobby for the Fediverse since 2023.
From now on you'll be able to follow this account for updates, including downtimes, new instances and tools, small and large developments of our association and of course regular calls for donations.
Some cool updates will follow soon.

Hi, I'm Magnus. Pretty new on here, but not entirely: I had an account on #MastodonSocial, but that sucked. Before that I was on Twitter for some years as The Money Machine (@para_paramoney).

I recently quit my bank job ( #KYC/ #AML) and moved from #Copenhagen to #Svendborg into a #collective housing situation with 11 new comrades, in a giant house in the forest.

The Fediverse can be a very strange place if you're new to it and it may seem lonely and cold when you're starting with an empty timeline and no algorithm suggesting content.
But it pays off to stick around, because the reason for each way the Fediverse is complicated, is a huge benefit.

One of the best ways to find people to follow and engage with is by putting yourself out there with an introduction post. Describe yourself, your interests, values and identities and add fitting hashtags. Also include some of these: #introduction, #NewHere, #FirstPost

Anyway, you can always ask me questions and get any kind of help. Just write a post, mention me @PaulaToThePeople and set the visibility to "mentioned users only" if you don't want to ask publicly.

Also I want to stress that this is not a "free speech" instance (as those who misunderstand free speech like to call their instances or plattforms). So I hope you'll feel safe here. You can test Mastodon's report feature on the account @ReportMe. Real people that you can get to know will process each report, but you'll usually not be notified about any actions. Also feel free to suggest changes to our princliples, rules and guidelines (found on the/about page).
