. It was 34C under #Coburg Skyrail. On open stretches the ambient temperature was over 39C.
We went home to some nice air-conditioned comfort.

@fakemetrotrains went to the premier screening in the #BourkeSt. #Hoytz in Melbourne way back when. Tass [0] and Parker decked the cinema entrance with props from the film (created by Parker) , the remote controlled car, ashtray / bins and one half of the split #Honda Z. Great film.
Going to school in the city, moving through #Preston, #Brunswick I got to travel on from SW2s to SW6s past the East #Coburg or the Brunswick depot, all the way to Swanston to #RMIT. Fantastic days.

We have read that a plastic Christmas tree can produce around 40 kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions, which is more than double that of a real tree if it ends up in a landfill.
Plastic Christmas trees can pollute the surrounding environment as they wear and degrade with microplastic particles adding to the PM2.5 and PM10 particle air pollution from vehicles that makes us all a little bit sick.
A plastic Christmas tree can take over 500 years to decompose in a landfill. But it is equally problematic for toxic air pollution if incinerated.
For that home Christmas tree It’s more sustainable to reuse a plastic Christmas tree for at least 12 years.
But there are better sustainable options including: 
Decorating a living outside tree 
Buying a live potted tree. Perhaps a potted Wollemi Pine (an endangered species in the wild)If you buy a cut plantation Christmas tree to use, thoughtful disposal can allow it to decompose back to organic components. Much better than a plastic Christmas tree

“We helped Dad put up posters advertising the visitors from the Northern Territory coming to speak on the Northern Territory as a sacrifice zone in the development of gas for export.
They will be at Coburg Town Hall on Saturday 23 November 2.30pm to 5pm.
This is important, people. The Federal Labor Government is providing a $1.5 billion subsidy to Middle Arm industrial hub plus another $400 million to other infrastructure enabling gas expansion such as roads for pipeline development.
New research says exported gas has 33% more lifecycle emissions than coal. Japan’s gas use has been declining since 2014 but the Japanese companies have been re-exporting Australian gas to Asia as well as promoting purchase of gas infrastructure locking in #Fossilfuels rather than #renewables.
