Izzat Al-Risheq, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, said Israel is sacrificing the lives of its remaining captives in #Gaza.

“Netanyahu’s decision to return to war is a decision to sacrifice the prisoners of the occupation and a death sentence against them,” Al-Risheq said in a statement shared by CNN.

The #US strikes came just days after the #Houthis announced plans to resume attacks on #Israeli ships passing through the Red & Arabian seas, the Bab al-Mandab Strait & the Gulf of Aden, ending a period of relative calm starting in January w/the #Gaza ceasefire.

The Houthis launched >100 attacks targeting shipping from November 2023, saying they were in solidarity w/ #Palestinians over #Israel's war w/ #Hamas in Gaza.
