#introduction
Mastodon is my digital hygiene compromise, I'm still spending too much time online but now #bloomscrolling instead of doomscrolling. #mosstodon changed for ever the way I'm hiking.
I try to be deliberate in boosting beauty, from #pottery to #squirrel to #hopepunk because I believe we as a species cannot function on anger and fear alone.
Also #RightToRepair #TransRightsAreHumanRights #FightForLibraries #SmashPatriarchy and many more.
One day I'll manage a #MardiPatisserie !

If super-bullies conquer the headlines with absurd crap, imagine a world without bullies in power.
It's on us to counter their #narratives with how we would like the future to be. It is up to all of us to fight for this future. Not tomorrow but now!
Write *your* plot of humanity and cooperation.

I made a zine about why we lift up hopeful climate fiction stories on the Bright Green Futures podcast! (plus my prior one about solarpunk)

You can download/print/share them (plus I have a handy video on the trick of folding them): brightgreenfutures.substack.co

Ep of the pod about how the resurgence of zines is an indicator of cultural change: brightgreenfutures.substack.co

Must say there is something beautiful and healing about seeing a bunch of strangers in a #repairCafe helping each other fix their rice cookers, format their laptops, sew their teddy bears, patch up their clothes, figure out ways to solve problems with what they've got right there and each other.

Highly recommended activity to restore faith in ordinary people when we see so much cruelty from the top.

Ok folks! #hopePunk weekend challenge!

Take some time to ponder, and add your own toots to two of my favourite visioning projects:

#spoonieTown an imaginary place where we've already solved all the problems - what's life like there? What's kind of infrastructure is used? How do we take care of each other? What's a day like?

#tonicMasculinity - share your favourite examples from pop culture, your real life moments, or men you admire and why. There's so much good to celebrate. 🎉

@toddmedema Cyberus only publishes brazilian short stories from indie authors, same to this anthology of inverted solarpunk.

But I'm curious. Does megacorporation in your story use green energy or green discourse to manipulate/pursue some people? Or shows a point of view from someone negatively affected by green discouses? If so, I think it is inverted solarpunk, but it's new born genre, I can't say much about that...

Reading your synopsis remember me #clifi, or #hopepunk too.

"the greatest lie they sold us is that nothing we do matters. but history is made of small acts stacking up until they tip the scales. every revolution, every movement, every change started with ordinary people refusing to accept injustice. when it feels overwhelming, shrink the problem. plant a tree, protect a creek, help a neighbor. small things, together, become unstoppable."

From my hopeful climate fiction series, Nothing is Promised, the 4th book, published Mar 2023, and I SWEAR... this was not a supposed Trump character. This was evidence that anyone talking of invading Canada was *obviously* a lunatic.

And here we are. Lunatics in charge.

The question now is "how do we stop them?"

(btw first book is free in the series: susankayequinn.com/series/noth )

I slept so well tonight and woke up happy.

An evil president suddenly suffered from extreme hair loss, orange turned to lead grey. When he died after a short period of infirmity, the masses cheered on social media. Happiness around the globe.
This in turn caused the brain worm chip of a super-evil platform operator to crash and the whole system went down. Evolution watched the dying brainworms and giggled. It was time for a better world.

It was hard to wake up. So hard!
