"WaPo reported that over 5 million Americans work in industries that could be impacted by retaliatory tariffs from China and Canada that just went into effect, and the vast majority of them live in counties that voted for Trump. Germany's ratio of profit on net capital is falling since 1954. "The profitability revival for German capital from the beginning of the euro and the relocation of industrial capacity into the east of the EU and low wages for a large part of the labour force is over. Profitability began to fall in the Great Recession and through the Long Depression of the 2010s. The biggest drop came in the pandemic and profitability is now at an historic low."
