Went on several hikes over the weekend, first one to find wildflowers, the second to take local people to a nearby wilderness area. Lots of wildflowers on both. Flowers below are two of my early spring favorites, bloodroot and bluebells. Yay it's finally spring!! #Hiking #Wildflowers

The dandelion (taraxacum officinale), here with its beautiful fluffy crown, so widespread, so common, but also so beautiful. Not always nice to have in your lawn or gravel path, but I always leave a few in the flower beds. Then just weed. And if you have the space, you can perhaps let them do their thing. They are edible, the leaves for salad and the flowers for tea. They are also medicinal, they are said to help against bladder infections and against high blood pressure, constipation and joint pain. #flowers #flower #wildflowers #garden #gardensofpixelfed #gardening #macro #blumen #foto #photo

21/03/2025 - Evening walk after work. I felt tired today. The air was good for the head. Cloudy and not too cold. Staying light for longer now so didn't need the headtorch. Saw my first Dog's Mercury of spring. I've been looking for them the last week as we don't get much round here. A nice find that made me happy.
