Interesting history of Rancho Palos Verdes. Most of the population growth there was AFTER the landslides of 1950, based on this history. And, people sued to build NEW HOMES ON THE LANDSLIDE

Tidbits: "..On April 1, 1950, the Palos Verdes Peninsula had about 6,500 residents, and by June 1967, the number of residents had grown to approx. 54,000..."
