@diverdutch We went to #IslasHormigas Club de Buceo. I was really surprised. The base was full of divers. We've been there from 24th dec to 2nd of jan. Everyday 2-4 ribs full of rec divers!
The 'MarineReserve is really stunning! We often dive in the Mediterranean. But places like these are very rare. On day, we made a shoredive from Cala Roja to Cala Fria. It was so nice between the cliffs and so much life to discover. For sure we will be back!
I had to laugh about your § with spending time and money with diving! That's so true for me too! And we are two. It escalated that quickly . After 2 years we needed a bigger car- too much equipment. Now the downstairs storage is full- we need a bigger flat or house
. It never ends.
But you know...diving is fun ! No matter what.
We've been to Cabo de Palos over new year. I love this place. Especially Cueva del Aggua.
Hey scuba divers!
Someone has just set up a group for scuba diving discussion at:
I had a request from @tinca_tinca to feature the group as they want to get a diving community established here on the Fediverse They will be posting in the group from time to time, and everyone is free to join in too.
Osama Gobara - #cavediving Explorer
What I really like in Os is his humble manner. The guy does dives down to 150m in remote areas. Expeditions in caves without seeing light for weeks.
But he is also a very good teacher. And you can see from look in his eyes that he just loves #diving. No matter what.
Returning from our #cavediving adventure in #Mexico #Yucatan . Barely known is the beauty of the underwater #cenotes there. It is truely a wonder of nature. I feel honored to be able to spend time there underwater
.
We learned #scubadiving #sidemount with Osama Gobara and had great company with Belgian and Swedish people .

Happy birthday to me! I celebrated with a chilly, but outstanding dive at Peirce Island in Portsmouth, New Hampshire this morning. The tides and currents limit the time window for diving at this location, but it is absolutely spectacular this time of year. The nudibranchs were so dense we barely moved during out 30 minute dive.
(Many more pictures to come, these are the ones I quick processed)
My December recap is live! Nudi season is well underway here in New England and I'm looking forward to many more macro dives over the next couple months.
A selection of critters from a December dive at the UNH Research Pier in New Castle, New Hampshire
Dive number: 667
Date / time: Mon Dec 9, 2024 10:15 AM
Dive site: Folly Cove, Massachusetts
Water Temperature: 45F
Bottom Time: 1h4m
Met up with a buddy for a morning dive at Folly. The visibility was great, but we just didn't find a whole heck of a lot. A few rim-backed nudis, some moon snails, some anemones, and not much else.
Some images from a lovely dive at Canoe Beach in Nahant, Massachusetts last week.
I'm starting a new monthly series where I blog about my dives over the prior month. This is the first installment, complete with tons of pictures! Enjoy!
My buddy let me borrow his drysuit, so I was able to get back in the water before my new drysuit arrives. This was a super shallow dive (max 12 ft), but we found some good critters in our short, chilly dive.
