I keep seeing this claim made (pretty much always by #socialist leaning people, tellingly) that #capitalism demands infinite or perpetual or endless growth.

Completely false. Absolutely nothing about capitalism demands any growth at all, much less endless growth. Many people want economic growth, but that is often true with socialism as well.

It's fine to object to a given economic system. But if you want to argue against it honestly, you should be honest about what it is and what it says.
