Just attempted to go shopping for clothes, and while I know the quality has gone down across the board it was sad to see how much quality has dropped.
Even on so called luxury brands, the quality has dropped dramatically, the cloth, the stitching, the material it has all gone downhill.
For example quite a few clothes I came across used overlocking for structural parts without using another stitch to actually provide strength. 
At this point I am honestly considering getting a sewing machine, some bolts of fabric, some patterns and attempting to sew my own clothes. #frustration #clothes #clothing #sewing #quality #lowQuality

It is with some regret that I announce the demise of the Remington R-845 electric shaver I purchased c.1990. Although the motor still runs fine, and the battery still recharges/holds a charge, inevitably some plastic bits in the head have disintegrated, and the flip-up beard trimmer is non-op.

This presents a simple algorithm, based on least squares matching with "standard" JPEG quantization tables.
It also proposes a metric that expresses the fit to the standard tables, which is useful as a measure of confidence in the quality estimate.
